Black Tie:

Black Tie On Broadway
The 2008 Carolina Heartland Ball was held on Saturday, April 12th, 2008 in the elegant Guilford Ballroom at the Joseph S. Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. The theme this year was "Black Tie on Broadway"

Reception started at 6:30 with a Live Band playing music. At 7:00 Dinner was served.  At 8:00, after dinner, dance music prepared by Lib Johnson and Rockie Troxler was played.  

Eileen Leggio, 2008 Chairperson for the Black Tie On Broadway thanks all of the members of Carolina Heartland who contributed countless hours of their time behind the scenes to put together an enchanting evening for our guests.

Welcome:
Welcome to the home of the Carolina Heartland Chapter of
USA Dance/USABDA. We are a group of beginner and more experienced ballroom dancers from the Greensboro / High Point / Burlington area that love to dance and have a good time.

We meet monthly on the second Sunday of the month at 5:30 at Skateland, USA on Church Street in Greensboro to dance. Admission fees are as follows: $5.00, USA Dance Members; $8.00, guests; and $3.00 for Students with a School ID.
 
 
The fun begins with a 45 minute lesson taught by a local professional instructor. General dancing lasts from 6:15 until 8:15 p.m. and usually includes a mixer and several lady's choice dances. Refreshments are provided by the membership.

National Chapter of the Year:
Our Carolina Heartland Chapter of USA Dance was named 2005 - 2006 National Chapter of the Year! This great honor was announced recently at the 2006 USA Dancesport competition held in California.

The award is the result of hard work and efforts of many club members, each doing what they can to promote Ballroom dance in the Burlington, Greensboro, High Point area of NC.
We should all be proud.

Community Outreach:
Sunday, August. 18th, 2007:
Carolina Heartland's Outreach Program participants, led by Curtis Holt, performed in a Ballroom Dance Demonstration at Blumenthal's Jewish Nursing/Rehab Center.
Carolina Heartland Members danced at the Bicentenial Gardens On May 6th, 2007 as part of Carolina Heartland's Outreach program organized by Curtis Holt.

2007 Showcase - Dancing with Our Stars:
The 2007 Carolina Heartland Showcase was held on Sunday, September 16th, 2007 at the Oriental Shrine Club on High Point Road in Greensboro, North Carolina.

It was huge success and a credit to all of the volunteers who contributed countless hours of their time behind the scenes to put together a great showcase.
